The 2017 FIDIC Contracts Management Course was successfully completed
The 2017 FIDIC Contracts Training Course held on 29 and 30, Novvember, 2024 in Ho Chi Minh City was a resounding success. Which is demonstrated by the attendance of 09 participants from prominent Contractors, Engineer and the Employer across the country.
Unlike previous Contract Management courses, this session focused on equipping participants with fundamental principles as well as in-depth knowledge of the 2017 FIDIC Contract Suite.

To enhance the quality of training, the course content was meticulously balanced between theory and practice across the two training days.
On the first day, participants were introduced to the 2017 FIDIC Contracts, starting from general topics such as the introduction to the 2017 FIDIC Contracts and the structure of the contract suite, to the selection of appropriate contract forms for each project. Additionally, participants delved deeper into the roles of two key parties in the execution of the 2017 FIDIC Contracts: the Engineer; the Subcontractor, and the Nominated Subcontractor. Experiences and knowledge on Submission, Review, and Determination of Claims for Extension of Time (EOT) were also thoroughly discussed on the first day.

On the second day, participants were introduced to and discussed critical issues frequently encountered during the management of the 2017 FIDIC Contracts, such as Testing and Handover of Works, Variations and Adjustments, Contract Price and Payment, Contract Termination, Claims and Dispute Resolution.

For the participants, the most valuable takeaway was the in-depth training on the 2017 FIDIC Contract Suite, along with practical solutions to commonly encountered issues and the flexible application of 2017 FIDICContract provisions to address those challenges.
