Hung Vuong Stadium Project Overview
With a seating capacity of up to 135,000, combined with the application of advanced green technologies and a large-scale automated retractable roof system, Hung Vuong Stadium is expected to become one of the world’s leading covered stadiums by capacity, meeting stringent international standards set by FIFA, AFC, the Olympic Council of Asia, and other international sports organizations, thereby laying the foundation for Vietnam to host global sporting events.
At the same time, Hung Vuong Stadium is master-planned with flexible conversion capabilities to accommodate other uses such as art performances, festivals, and other large-scale gatherings, optimizing year-round operational efficiency.

Drawing its primary design inspiration from the Dong Son bronze drum and Lac bird motifs, the project creates a symbolic fusion between architecture deeply rooted in Vietnamese cultural identity and a grand contemporary structure of international stature.

As a key component of the Olympic Sports Urban Area Project, the construction places significant pressure on contractors: from implementing 24/7 construction operations accompanied by the mobilization of large-scale manpower and equipment, sourcing manufacturing resources and imported supplies, meeting stringent technical and quality requirements, ensuring multi-party coordination, to achieving on-schedule project completion as planned.
